Kids’ run runners, K9 heroes, 5K runners and walkers, family fun loopers and supporters packed Main Street at The Shops at Fallen Timbers in Maumee on November 5, 2016 for the third annual Hero Hustle 5K.
The mission of the Hero Hustle, which is organized by Life Connection of Ohio and Community Tissue Services, is to strengthen support, education and recognition of organ, eye and tissue donation in northwest Ohio. The awareness event featured a Kids’ Fun Run, K9 Hero Kits, 1-mile Family Fun Run and 5K Run/Walk. This year, there were close to 800 total registered participants; nearly 100 additional volunteers from Life Connection of Ohio, Community Tissue Services and the University of Toledo Cross Country and Track teams; and 50 furry friends of all breeds and sizes!
A big thank you to our platinum sponsors, 13abc and K-100, for their generous promotion and coverage of the Hero Hustle. Thanks also to our gold sponsors, UT Health and Herbally Radiant Organic Skin Care; silver sponsors, CoriGraphics, Dave’s Running Shop and Lions Eye Bank; and bronze sponsors, Kish Ambulance, ProMedica and RP Marketing.
Life Connection of Ohio and Community Tissue Services host this event annually on the first Saturday of November. So mark your calendars and get “super” excited for Saturday, November 4, 2017!
