Human Resources Generalist

The Human Resources Generalist supports various human resources functions within the organization, including but not limited to maintenance and administration of the HCM system, talent acquisition activities, front-line support for employees and front-line managers, orientation activities and other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serves as the initial point of contact for employee human resources related concerns
  • Provides employee support for questions regarding paid time off, FMLA and ADAA leaves
  • Works with vendors to resolve employee issues in HCM systems
  • Participates in full talent acquisition life cycle, including job posting, applicant screening, and tracking, administration and onboarding
  • Works with business management and directors to resolve performance-related issues
  • Leads or supports company and employee events
  • Maintains employee files
  • Produces and delivers related reports
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent professional experience
  • Experience in any area of human resources
  • Development of reporting tools
  • Experience communicating with both front-line employees and management staff

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to effectively “read” another person and guide your actions by your understanding of their individual needs or values
  • Strong computer and data entry skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook and the Internet
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills, which demonstrate good judgment
  • Sensitivity and high degree of confidentiality required

Licenses or Certificates

  • PHR preferred
